About

Sonia's background includes over 30 years of experience in professional services, specifically within the legal field. Having begun her career in a legal support role prior to transitioning into administrative and increasingly complex management roles, she is well versed in all aspects of the management of legal services.  

 

Over the course of her career, Sonia has developed her skills in the human resources space.  Sonia was most recently the Director of Human Resources for the Vancouver office of a large international law firm, a role which she held for almost 10 years.  She has a proven track record of success in all aspects of human resources management, including strategic planning, financial management, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits administration.  

 

Sonia has a reputation as being fair-minded and a core belief in personal accountability.  She is approachable, easy to work with, is also practical, solutions-oriented and gets thing done; project management and keeping all project stakeholders on track is a key strength.  Sonia was a member of CPHR BC & Yukon and held her CPHR designation from 2007 through 2018. Her expertise can assist your organization with a large range of human resources needs, from the fundamental to complex.
